A Safebound salesman actually came to my home in Florida and looked at everything that I needed to move to North Carolina. Patric gave me a price, I negotiated a bit with William on the phone and then sent them a 33% deposit.

When the moving crew arrived, the manager informed me that I needed to purchase additional truck space for an extra cost of $6600. I told them to take all heavy items and anything else that would fit. The following day I rented a 20 foot U-Haul truck with a tow hitch so that I could take the vehicle that I planned on driving. They underestimated so much that I filled a 20 foot truck! Mistake? I think NOT! I hired some laborers to help load the truck and then hired laborers to help unload when I got to North Carolina. This resulted in an additional expense of about $2500.

I received a phone call from them after posting a review on a different site. I was offered an insulting $200 which eventually was raised to $400. I was accused of extortion when I declined. The bottom line is “do your homework”. Pay me now or pay me later.

Ok so here is the backstory on this move: I bought a ridiculously expensive 8’ 200lb mirror down in Southern Florida over the internet and needed to ship it up to Boston. Mind you I BOUGHT this thing without having a plan in place to transport it. I called maybe 25 shipping companies. Freight companies, furniture moving companies, white-glove companies… no one would touch it. They all told me the same thing, 1) it’s glass, 2) it isn’t in a crate, 3) it’s too valuable. I was at a loss. I called a buddy down in Florida (Peter Wedge – CEO luxury lifestyle concierge – out of Wellington FL) and he put me in touch with SafeBound. “They do all my stuff”, he told me “they’re the best.” I called the number he gave me and spoke directly to Mike the owner. He told me “Ben, we got this.” He gave me a very reasonable price, said he would personally go to the location with one of his guys and take care of the moving. “This is great!” I thought. One problem though, it still needed to be wrapped and packaged. “Don’t worry sweat it, Ben” Mike told me. “My job is to get it to you and in one piece, so I’ll do whatever needs to be done to get it to your door.” Unreal. The day of Mike even offered to handle paying for the mirror for me and added the cost to the bill. Like honestly, where can you possibly get THAT LEVEL of service in this day and age. ONE-STOP-SHOP. Safebound got the mirror to my apartment up in Boston about 5 days later (I was in no rush). When they showed up the delivery guys couldn’t have been nicer, more respectful and more professional. I tipped them generously and as they were leaving, Mike called me personally to make sure everything went OK. I literally spent the next 5-6 minutes of that call telling him his business was one-in-a-million and the level of specialty service these guys provide is exceptional, BAR-NONE. Seriously, whatever you’re trying to move call them. They’ll take care of it. I am still shocked at how difficult a time I had trying to ship this thing before calling Safebound who make it seem like a breeze. Seriously this business is a rare find. Thank you Mike and everyone at Safebound I will seriously write you 100 reviews you guys are amazing. – Ben.

Do NOT Use This Moving Company

I cannot stress enough how utterly disappointed and frustrated I am with this moving company. From start to finish, the entire experience has been a nightmare, and I strongly advise against anyone using their services. It's clear they prioritize speed over quality and customer satisfaction at every turn.

One of the most glaring issues was their complete lack of transparency regarding insurance options. Throughout the entire process, no one bothered to discuss insurance coverage with us. This oversight meant that when our belongings were damaged, we were left without adequate protection or recourse.

Furthermore, they employ underhanded tactics during the signing process. They rush you through the paperwork, emphasizing that any delay could result in losing the initial estimate and being subjected to higher charges. This pressure-cooker approach leaves customers feeling coerced and trapped into accepting terms they haven't had time to fully understand or consider.

Firstly, the communication from the company was HORRIBLE. They were incredibly unreliable, showing up a 2 hours late without any prior notice or apology. This delayed our move significantly, with the movers not finishing until nearly 11pm, leaving us exhausted and stressed.

Promises were made that our belongings would depart the day after pickup, but this turned out to be a blatant lie. Instead, our items stayed in their warehouse for close to a week, causing unnecessary anxiety and inconvenience. Meaning that our stuff were moved around without care more than once.

The condition in which our belongings arrived was appalling. Despite labeling numerous boxes as fragile, many arrived destroyed, with items inside damaged beyond repair. Worst of all, our 98” TV, a significant investment costing nearly $6,000, was completely wrecked. The company assured us repeatedly that they would handle it with care, but the reality was starkly different. They sent inadequately prepared personnel, including a skinny individual ill-equipped to handle such a massive TV, weighing close to 200lbs. Predictably, it was mishandled and now is unusable. The box where it was wrapped in didn’t even have a “FRAGILE” sign.

When we filed a claim for damages, hoping for some form of compensation, the response was insultingly inadequate. They offered a mere $83 for a television that cost thousands of dollars and was completely destroyed due to their negligence.

In conclusion, this moving company's incompetence, poor communication, and utter disregard for customer property make them a hazard to anyone looking to relocate safely and securely. Save yourself the stress, frustration, and financial loss – steer clear of this company at all costs.

Adding insult to injury, they've threatened me with litigation over my review. But, what I didn't mention earlier was the broken head of table dining room chair Nataniel took with him to have repaired. Felipe now claims they do not have it and it fact didn't take it. Also here is a list of the broken items which I have pics of all. Artwork, wall clock, ceiling light fixture, bed frames & the list goes on. I look forward to letting my attorney duke it out with theirs. Should they not file a suit I will certainly be filing one. Oh, and they ran out of packing materials and used my sheets and blankets as pads. If the would make good on the chair I might let this all go down as a bad experience and be done with it, but they don't seem to play that way.

This is now my THIRD time using Safebound logistics in the past two years! I used them a year ago to move some personal items to two different family members in different parts of the country. I was trying to spend the least amount of money for the best quality service. That is exactly what I did. Shawn's team couldn't have coordinated the entire operation any smoother. The Safebound team showed up on time, packaged and transported my items in a timely manner. Just this past week I had to urgently move my mother into a assisted living home. With two days notice Safebound PACKED my mothers entire house and relocated her across the STATE. These guys really work wonders. As a customer I could not be more happy! Thank you :)).

I moved my furniture out of my home in Port St Lucie in June, to be stored until I moved into my new home that was built at the end of October. First I was given a quote that was more than doubled when the movers arrived. Fast forward to my new home move in. My movers couldn’t find my home on Ponte Vedra. They were about 6 hours late and I finally had to drive 30 minutes each way to have them follow me to my house. In my new home, I had damage to my new walls, irritable movers who said they were just dropping all of my boxes in the garage. They were not moving them to appropriate rooms. Then, my Sleep Number bed was not going to be put together - “we don’t do that!” I had specifically asked if that could be accommodated when I booked them. Then, my fine China which was marked VERY FRAGILE, which I’ve move 12 times since 1976, when I received them as a wedding present, nothing has EVER been broken. I have the pictures to prove, but I had about 8 pieces that were packed in styrofoam PULVERIZED! These pieces, back in the 70’s were about $60 a piece. There is lots more. Trash left at my house, furniture that WASN’T mine left at my house and just a general attitude issue. Moving is not fun at the best of times, but this company was beyond bad and very difficult. In fairness, the head man finally put my Sleep number bed together, and it works fine.

This has to be one of the worst companies, although it seems most of them in Florida have a scam going on. I called a "moving" company to get a quote. Salesperson says all the right things and when I ask point black if this is moving company or a broker, he said they were a moving company. That was the first lie although didn't find out until a few days afterwards. When I called second time to cancel, I was on the hook for $600 to cancel. The "moving" company they contracted to was terrible reviews, so they switched to another company. But the reviews from Safebound was terrible as well, and the google reviews were fictitious. When Safebound came for pickup, they charged me 45% more than quoted. The original quote was $3700 and now I was being charged $5800. I had just moved to Florida 7 months ago, knew what I had inventory wise. I was able to remove 7 boxes (MD & LG) from the count, which should have made it less expensive, not more. At pickup location, claimed it was all packed into a nice truck with lines painted on the ceiling, and would be on its way in a day or so. Not. I found out that it went to a warehouse for weeks. They didn't give me a call for timing. Late Friday afternoon three weeks later, the driver called to deliver tomorrow, a Saturday when know one was going to be there. Had to scramble to try to make it work, as they said it was costing me more money. The driver was definitely a contractor as well as the truck. The system was all designed to manipulate people and extort more money from every opportunity. And those lines on the ceiling of the truck, are false. The cubic feet is not legit and typical moves for 1, 2, 3 bd apt have standard cubic feet. Look them up on any website for how big a truck you need. Their lines would be a third or less than a typical move. Note, I worked for our family moving co in CA and I can see how Safebound is baiting and switching customers with pricing.

I wish I had read the reviews first, if so, I would never have hired this company. No one but myself and Safe bound has been in my garage. Today I went to pull my sons scuba diving fins and masks, approx. value of about 2400. and found them missing. i was baffled at first and looked and relooked, they were gone. Something i was getting my teenage boys involved with as i am separated from the mom and long for any connection we can make. I bought pizza, tipped them $300. , then I find my equipment gone, they are the only other people, other then myself, that was in the garage. Looking back i realize they , there were three, kept me busy upstairs while they looked for stuff to hide in the truck. They are real creeps.

If you're looking for a top-notch moving company, Safebound Moving & Storage is the way to go. Moved from Pembroke Pines to Port St. Lucie with them and it was awesome. The consultation at the beginning was really detailed, they gave me a clear estimate. The team on moving day was really impressive, they worked super hard and took care of everything, even the big bulky stuff. They were careful with all my items, treating everything with respect. Even after the move, their customer service checked in to make sure I was happy with everything. For anyone moving in South Florida, you won't find a better service than Safebound.

My experience matches many of the negative reviews here — overcharges, subcontracting without disclosure, poor communication, and no resolution after more than a month. I would not recommend this company at all.

I was quoted $2,900 for an interstate two-bedroom move. Before pickup, I called to say I had removed a second bedroom, office, and kitchen contents. That information never reached the pickup team (a third-party carrier). Despite the reduced inventory, I was charged an extra $750 for “increased cubic feet” from added boxes — with no updated calculation or explanation.

The problems didn’t stop there:

Only 20 minutes’ notice before delivery instead of 24 hours

My move was subcontracted twice without my knowledge

Delivery crew failed to reassemble my bed frame

No promised follow-up call after delivery

Driver claimed he couldn’t call because his phone was broken

I first contacted customer service on July 3 and followed up six more times. On July 11, their rep acknowledged mistakes and promised compensation, then went on leave without handing off my case. I’ve requested arbitration details (July 29, Aug 5, Aug 12) but Safebound has refused to provide them, even though they are required to.

Based on my experience, I would avoid this company.

If you're looking for the company with the least integrity in the space, you've found it.

Thousands of dollars worth of items in "air-conditioned" long-term storage were delivered with extensive mold and mildew. They then had the audacity to try and blame it on us.

Told them I was simply looking for the cost of replacement for the items, went through their claims process, and had to chase them down for months to get a response. Ultimately came back with an offer of 40% of the value. I let them know I would not accept it and they said the offers off the table, nothing else you can do then.

The ironic part about all of this is that if you're put on hold with them (which you will be), their hold music talks all about how they "treat your belongings as if they were their own," how "integrity is a key value held by the company," and that "your belongings are stored securely in our air-conditioned warehouses."

This company and its leadership is a joke. DO NOT USE THEM, YOU WILL REGRET IT.

I contracted with this company for my long distance move from California to New Hampshire on June 14th. The movers arrived on time. My box count was exact. However, to my horror the mover told me it would cost an additional 2k! I am completely at a loss. How could that be???? The weak explanation I got from your team was, "Sometimes it goes over". Seriously?! I am a senior living on Social Security Disability. I had to borrow money from a friend. I have no idea how I can ever pay that friend back.

Fast forward 2 weeks. No word from this Company. Chris assured me it never takes more than 2 weeks to deliver. I had to call 3 times before someone told me all my belongings are sitting in a warehouse in Nevada waiting and waiting for a truck that is going my way!! I am in to this for over 5.5k now and I am FURIOUS! I paid 2k more than I should have and now this? This is completely UNACCEPTABLE! No one can give me an ETA. This is by far the worst service I've ever gotten. I don't see how they could possibly have so many positive reviews.

It took 4 weeks to deliver which is allowed in the fine print but not the expectation created when signing the contract. No updates given. Most belongings were trashed on arrival, and the company then tells you about the other fine print that says the insurance that we told you was included only pays you $0.60 per pound and most furniture materials are not covered at all. Individuals at the company during the sales process are great but not so much when you have a claim. Be warned.

I needed to move a very large bed and materials to fill approximately 3 boxes (surround sound system and miscellaneous household items) to a family member in another state. Since receiving the items quickly wasn't an issue for us, but moving the items out of the current location quickly WAS an issue, we chose to have Safebound Logistics do the job for us. They were one company recommended by our realtor. We also chose them due to the efficient, professional and courteous interaction with Felipe.

Day of the Pickup: The 2 person crew arrived within 30 minutes of the early morning scheduled pickup time. They called shortly before their arrival, which was nice. The boxes originally promised for on-site packing had been accidentally left behind, but mistakes happen, and there was no harm done. They did take all the materials and packaged them safely at the warehouse where the materials were stored for a couple of weeks. They did a great job of wrapping the mattresses and box springs to ensure they were kept clean and dry during the move and during the brief storage in their warehouse.

Day of the Delivery: The crew called me several times prior to the delivery time (2 hrs away, 30 minutes away), to ensure someone was there waiting for them. The family members there for the delivery assured me they were efficient, courteous and did a great job of setting up the electric king bed. They made sure the recipients were happy before leaving.

Although this was a very small move of only a few items, it was an important one for our family. The sensitivity of all concerned to a recent death in the family made this task a bit less onerous for me, and it was greatly appreciated.

If you are looking for a moving company to give you excellent service, a fair price, and treat you professionally, these are the guys you want to go with. From the 1st initial email, to the delivery of my belongings, to the follow up call, I was impressed. I needed to move two pieces of family heirloom furniture, plus some other items, from my mother's home in Kentucky to my house in Florida. Both furniture pieces are over 100 years old. My drivers, Michael and Nathaniel, took great care to wrap each piece (as my mom nervously watched) understanding how much this furniture meant to my family. I was so pleased to see that my pieces were delivered in the same condition as when they were picked up! Perfect! I will definitely use Safebound Logistics again.

Safebound Logistics was professional and courteous from the beginning to end. Jamie started us off with a quote and after several changes made by us Jamie and Felipe were both very accommodating and helpful. Boxes were packed, items were loaded and stored until our son's apartment was ready in Colorado. Felipe was kind enough to give me his personal phone number over the holiday weekend in case of any issues. The only problem was the driver of the truck delivering our furniture was concerned over a corner ripped on a $100 bill but that was quickly resolved. Took delivery of items on a Sunday on Memorial weekend. Felipe always answered my calls and all items were delivered safely. The staff that arrived to pack boxes got the job done quickly and they were very polite as well, even helped me carry something to a dumpster that was too heavy for me to carry alone. All in all I am very pleased with the patience and helpfulness of Safebound Logistics during a stressful time for me. Thank You!

I had a fantastic experience with Safebound Logistics. From the moment I requested a quote to the time the truck delivered our furniture and life, it was a pleasant experience. They arrived on the day we had scheduled and on time. They delivered our apartment furniture and belongings faster than quoted, it arrived within three days!! I can't say enough about the company, Rochelle, Dell and Tavaris. The customer service was great and the movers super professional and knowledgeable I highly recommend them to all. We moved from the D.C. area to southwest Florida.
